Looking for EDS Genetic Testing? Here's Where to Go (It's Not Here)

If you've been searching for someone to test you for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, we want to save you a phone call: that's not something we do here.

We get this call a lot, and it makes sense why. EDS is hard enough to find good information about without also having to figure out who actually does what. So let's clear it up plainly, right now.

What we do: treat the pain and symptoms that come with EDS and hypermobility, using FSM (Frequency Specific Microcurrent) as our primary tool. We work with patients who already have a diagnosis, a working diagnosis, or are far enough into the process that pain relief is the priority right now.

What we don't do: genetic testing or diagnostic workups. We're not equipped for that, and honestly, that's not where our expertise is. A physician can run the genetic testing, evaluate the full clinical picture alongside it, and rule out the more serious EDS variants before landing on a diagnosis like hypermobile EDS. That process belongs with a doctor who specializes in it, not with us.

Who we send people to: Dr. Vidya Krishnamurthy, MD. She's a pediatrician, but don't let that stop you if you're an adult; she sees EDS patients across all ages, not just kids. If you're not already an existing patient of hers, you'll generally need a referral from an MD to get in. Her office number is (770) 346-0132.

A practical note on insurance: whether genetic testing is covered depends on your specific plan and situation. We can't give you a blanket answer on that one, it really is case by case, so that's a conversation worth having directly with her office once you reach out.

If you already know what you're dealing with, and pain is the actual problem, that's exactly where we come in. FSM is one of the gentlest treatment options out there, built for a nervous system that's already working overtime, and it's the tool we lean on most for EDS patients looking for real relief instead of more guesswork.

Not sure which camp you're in? Call us anyway. We'd rather point you in the right direction in five minutes than have you spend another week not knowing who to call.
